BIM Engineer – Data Centre - Netherlands

Our client is a €1.5bn turnover, multi-disciplined main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects

Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre division, our client is now seeking an experienced BIM Engineer to join their team in Netherlands.

Responsibilities

•    Develop and Manage Coordinated 3D Models:
Create, manage, and coordinate detailed 3D BIM models across disciplines (architecture, structure, MEP) to support design development and construction planning for the data centre.
•    Lead Clash Detection and Resolution:
Conduct regular clash detection exercises using tools like Navisworks or Solibri, facilitating coordination meetings and driving timely resolution of issues amongst project stakeholders.
•    Support Construction Sequencing and 4D Simulation:
Work closely with planning and site teams to produce 4D simulations, enabling visualisation of construction sequencing and improving on-site coordination and logistics.
•    Ensure BIM Compliance and Quality Control:
Ensure all models and associated data comply with project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Dutch BIM standards, and client requirements, maintaining accuracy and consistency across all deliverables.
•    Collaborate Across Teams and Project Phases:
Act as a key link between design, engineering, and construction teams, ensuring smooth data flow and model updates from pre-construction through to handover, with a focus on digital construction best practices.

Requirements

Completed a third-level qualification in construction, computing or a related discipline
3+ years’ experience of working on multi-disciplinary projects with BIM level 2 requirements
Must have EU Passport or Dutch RTW

Benefits

€70,000 - €75,000 + Full rotational Package
